“Siete Pesos” perform raps and poetry that they wrote during the previous 30 minutes at Nuestro Caminos. The goal of the workshop was to use hip-hop to explore issues of identity and immigration. The material written at this workshop will serve as a basis for further collaboration between the Arts Greenhouse and Jovenes Sin Nombre. We aim to produce recordings and performances that will help minority teens have their voices heard through hip-hop music and poetry.
